WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Republican candidate Meg Weinberger outlined her platform in an effort to win the party’s nomination for House District 94, which includes protecting life, supporting law enforcement and lowering taxes to promote jobs and the economy.

“I believe in serving with compassion and accountability and using my conservative values to make a difference,” Weinberger told Florida’s Voice. “My goal is to bring a common sense, America First approach to Tallahassee by advocating for market-based solutions, providing better educational options and supporting our hard-working Florida families, especially our first responders who keep our community safe.”

Among her stances, Weinberger vowed being pro-life by protecting the “sanctity of human life and the right of the unborn.” She also pledged to enhance health services for pregnant and postpartum women.

Weinberger also backed supporting law enforcement and the rule of law. Her stances include prioritizing safety and security, banning sanctuary cities, and deporting illegal immigrants who cross the border illegally.

On the economy, Weinberger advocated to cut taxes and reduce the size of government. She also noted cutting red tape would “unleash our economic potential.” Furthermore, Weinberger said it was “critical” to our national security to support farmers and agriculture.

She also promised to address the affordability crisis, including putting an end to insurance premiums and combating fraud and corruption.

Weinberger also backed the right to bear arms, calling anti-Second Amendment rights “unconstitutional government overreach” in personal lives and businesses.

While running for the Florida House, Weinberger also is the chapter chair of Moms for Liberty in Palm Beach County. The organization is “dedicated to the survival of America by unifying, educating and empowering parents to defend their parental rights at all levels of government.

On her platform, Weinberger stressed giving parental rights in education over their children. She specifically mentioned supporting school choice, promote competition amongst schools, growing technical and vocational training, and investing in recruiting and retaining state teachers.

In addition, Weinberger promised to protect children by prohibiting them from having sex changes. She also vowed to promote adoption and improve the foster care system.

House District 94 covers western Palm Beach County, including Pahokee and Bella Glade near Lake Okeechobee.

Covering much of Palm Beach County’s suburbs, Weinberger affirmed protecting the regions environment and water supply. In part, she pledged improving wastewater treatment facilities to preserve the area’s natural environment and way of life.

Scheduled for Aug. 20, Weinberger is competing against Christian Acosta, Anthony Aguirre, Jon Carter, and Gabrielle M. Fox for the party’s nomination. She also is running to replace to replace Rep. Rick Roth, R-West Palm Beach, who is term limited.

Rachelle Litt is the only Democratic candidate listed for the race.

An animal advocate, Weinberger has been endorsed by numerous state officials. They include Rep. Mike Caruso, R-Delray Beach and Florida Republican Reps. Brian Mast and Gus Bilirakis.

In addition to state leaders, Weinberger was endorsed by the Palm Beach County Police Benevolent Association and the Florida Fraternal Order of Police.

“I’m proud of the USA and believe America is worth fighting for especially in the face of Joe Biden’s disastrous policies that are doing so much damage to our country,” Weinberger said.

The House District 94 general election is scheduled for Nov. 5.
