WASHINGTON (FCV) – Thursday, President Joe Biden (D) announced a new COVID-19 policy plan that would involve increasing availability of monoclonal antibody treatments.

Monoclonal antibody treatments were heavily touted by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) this year. DeSantis opened numerous Regeneron antibody treatment plants across Florida.

The announcement has conservatives taking a victory lap because of the seeming reversal in attitude towards the monoclonal antibody treatments.

“COPE and SEETHE, @AP” Christina Pushaw, DeSantis’ press secretary, remarked in response to the announcement.

The remark is in reference to a prior Associated Press hit piece claiming that DeSantis promoted Regeneron treatment because of a top donor having been claimed to invest in the company.

Monoclonal antibody treatments have been proven to be effective against severe cases and deaths associated with COVID-19. Treatment sites in Florida can be found here.
