Byron Donalds Follows Through on Vows to Open Investigations: ‘Republicans Now Have the Gavels, Accountability is Coming’

WASHINGTON, D.C. (FLV) – After gaining control of the U.S. House of Representatives following the 2022 election, Republicans announced an investigation into President Joe Biden.

U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds, R-FL, previously told Florida’s Voice that if the Republican Party re-gains majority control in the House of Representatives, they will hold investigations on “just about everybody.”

Now, during a press conference, Republican U.S. Reps. James Comer and Jim Jordan say Biden was allegedly involved in overseas business dealings with Hunter Biden and an investigation is necessary.

Donalds, who was seen behind Comer during the press conference, had a stern message for the president.

“Joe Biden once said on a hot mic that ‘no one f**ks with a Biden.’ Joe, I have news for you – Republicans now have the gavels, accountability is coming, and your last name won’t change a thing.”

Comer said the evidence raises questions if Biden is a national security risk and about whether he is compromised by foreign governments.

“This is an investigation of Joe Biden – The President of the United States – and why he lied to the American people about his knowledge and participation in his family’s international business schemes,” Comer said.

Comer alleged the Biden family “flourished and became millionaires by simply offering access to the family.”

“National security interest require the committee conduct investigation and we will pursue long avenues – avenues that have been ignored,” he said.

Comer continued that there may be evidence of crimes to include defrauding the United States, wire fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, violation of the Foreign Agents Registration act, violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, violations of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, tax evasion, money laundering, and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

“Committee Republicans have identified over 50 countries the Biden family sought businesses in. On the international side of the Biden family businesses, the deals were often lead by Hunter Biden,” Comer said.

The Republicans are releasing a report Thursday outlining their findings, according to Fox News.
