NAPLES, Fla. – Florida Republican Rep. Byron Donalds and his wife, Erika Donalds, announced their endorsement of Yvette Benarroch in her bid to represent State House District 81.

Benarroch, a Republican, would represent the Naples and Marco Island area.

“I know that win or lose, she’s not stopping,” Byron Donalds said. “You have to make sure you send conservatives who are committed to the right things for this country, who are committed to making sure that the continuation of what has made Florida the best state in the union continues.”

“It’s not just sending somebody,” he continued. “It is sending your very, very best, and I have no doubts that the very, very best for District 81 is Yvette Benarroch.”

“I believe in Yvette so much,” Erika Donalds said. “She gets things done. She’s loyal to our party. But most of all, she values the things that we value.”

“Her core principles are that of America First. It’s all about conservatism. It’s about doing the right thing,” she added. “She is a patriot and Veteran. She is a ‘get it done girl,’ and how much better it will be when we have a ‘get it done girl’ in the state legislature, getting things done for us on behalf of our community and our constitution.”

Benarroch said she is “delighted and honored” to receive the Donalds’ endorsements.

“Byron and Erika Donalds are true conservatives who fight every day for our community,” Benarroch said. “I will take that same fight to Tallahassee to stand up for my community and our conservative values.”

The Republican candidate vowed to support parental rights, school choice, job development, less regulations and lower insurance rates.

She said she will battle against illegal immigration and will “fight” for her community at the Florida Capitol.

Benarroch announced her bid earlier this year for the seat.

As it stands, the other declared candidate is Republican Greg Folley.

The seat is currently represented by Rep. Bob Rommel, R-Naples.

During her time in the U.S. Air Force, Benarroch served during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

She moved to Florida in 2003 and was originally born and raised in Luquillo, Puerto Rico.

Benarroch received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico and a master’s in marketing from Southern New Hampshire University.

In 2020, she served as a neighborhood team leader in Southwest Florida for Trump Victory and Latinos for Trump.

In 2022, she was a neighborhood team leader for Gov. Ron DeSantis’ reelection camaign.

She also served as the vice chairwoman of the Collier County GOP from 2020-2022.
