Casey DeSantis Continues ‘Mamas for DeSantis’ Tour as Election Season Kicks Up: ‘Mamas are Fired Up to Re-Elect Governor DeSantis’

PONTE VEDRA (FLV) – Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis hosted a Mamas for DeSantis event in Ponte Vedra to encourage Florida moms to support Gov. Ron DeSantis in his bid for re-election.
At the event, the First Lady spoke with Quisha King, a mom from Jacksonville.
“Florida mamas are fired up to re-elect Governor DeSantis this November, and that passion comes from understanding that Florida stands for freedom,” Casey DeSantis said. “We are working to sign up mamas, grandmamas, abuelas, and more to join the Freedom Team.”
As election season has picked up, DeSantis defeated breast cancer and joined her husband on the campaign trail in an effort to garner support among Florida mothers, launching Mamas for DeSantis in June.
“We are working to sign up mamas, grandmamas, abuelas, and more to join the Freedom Team,” she said. “We are mamas on a mission, and we are ready to make a difference so we can leave Florida to God and future generations better than we found it.”
The Florida First Lady’s pro-parent rhetoric amped up as she slammed activists for trying to expose children to sexual content.
“Speaking on behalf of A LOT of moms across the state, we do not want our children exposed to inappropriate sexualized content,” she said. “Full stop.”
After Gov. Ron DeSantis began naming school board endorsements, his wife called out media outlet Florida Politics for claiming the governor “intends to weaponize” school board races.
“Weaponizing?! Since when is empowering parents and putting students first ‘weaponizing?'” she exclaimed. “Moms & Dads across Florida know that the @RonDeSantisFL education agenda is about student success, parental rights, & curriculum transparency. We stand for education, NOT indoctrination.”
DeSantis began her tour late June, the “largest movement of parents in Florida history.”
On the initiative, her husband said that Florida is working to be the “most pro-parent state in the nation”: “Mamas for DeSantis gives a voice to mothers across the state.”

First Lady DeSantis launched numerous programs in 2022 leading into the governor’s re-election, like Cancer Connect, which provides resources for cancer patients to “make the cancer battle easier,” and Hope Florida – A Pathway to Prosperity, which has helped more than 30,000 Floridians work to become economically self-sufficient.
