TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Christina Pushaw is back working in Gov. Ron DeSantis’ executive office after previously helping spearhead the governor’s political operation.

“So happy to be back working with this awesome team,” Pushaw said Tuesday.

Pushaw was previously the rapid response director for Team DeSantis, the name for DeSantis’ political operation and his previous 2024 presidential campaign.

She was instrumental in DeSantis’ rise to national prominence, especially online, which kicked off during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020 and accelerated in 2021, when Pushaw was tapped for press secretary.

Pushaw began aggressively engaging with left-wing, corporate media outlets, along with the governor, who frequently calls out media “narratives” in viral moments.

She exited DeSantis’ executive office ahead of the governor’s 2022 reelection campaign to work the political side.

Bryan Griffin was also formerly press secretary for the governor, both in the executive office and for DeSantis’ 2024 campaign. Griffin has also moved back into DeSantis’ executive office, serving as communications director.

Jeremy Redfern remains the press secretary for DeSantis. The trio of Pushaw, Redfern and Griffin is active on social media, frequently calling out media “narratives” or “lies” against DeSantis and Florida Republicans.

Griffin celebrated the news with a GIF saying “we’re putting the band back together.”

Perhaps the most visible communications team for any governor in the U.S., the three each have tens of thousands of followers on X, and Pushaw with over 300,000.
