FORT MYERS (FCV) – Monday, Collier County Commissioner candidate Daniel Kowal met with Lee County Commissioner Kevin Ruane to discuss Southwest Florida water quality.

“When I’m elected Collier County [Commissioner] in District 4 I will work hard every day and work with my fellow Commissioners in Collier and Lee County to make sure we are always protecting our water quality which is so critical to our tourism and way of life here in SWFL,” he said.

After meeting with Ruane, Kowal toured the Davis Boat Ramp in Fort Myers, the site of a blue-green algae bloom.

FCV has been in contact with the City of Fort Myers regarding the latest algae bloom. The City still has not reported the source of the bloom.
