Debate Night: Marco Rubio and Val Demings Face Off for Senate Seat

WEST PALM BEACH (FLV) – With only 20 days left until the Nov. 8 midterm election, Republican U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio and Democrat U.S. Rep. Val Demings are set to take the stage Tuesday night for their first and only debate as they battle for a U.S. Senate seat.

Palm Beach State College will host the “Before You Vote” debate, which begins at 7:00 p.m.

Channel 25’s (WPBF) evening news anchor Todd McDermott will moderate the debate.

The debate will air on statewide public radio, on participating TV stations’ websites and/or Facebook pages, and on daily newspaper websites and/or Facebook pages, with a national rebroadcast expected on C-SPAN after the debate program airs, according to the college.

34 of 100 Senate seats are up for grabs this November. Those elected will begin a 6-year term starting in January of 2023.
