TALLAHASSEE (FLV) – A Democrat Congressman-elect disagrees with Mike Lindell’s assertion that Gov. Ron DeSantis’ and Florida Republicans’ historic win margins in November were illegitimate.

Lindell, who runs MyPillow and spearheaded efforts to prove the 2020 election was rigged or fraudulent in several states where Donald Trump trailed President Joe Biden, said on The Lindell Report he is skeptical of Florida’s red wave.

“You know what happened in [Miami-]Dade County in, in the 2022 election?” Lindell asked.

“Well, this is where Ron DeSantis won Dade County – a Republican won Dade County. Well, for me, I look at deviations, everybody: that’s a deviation. I don’t believe it,” he went on. “So I’m just gonna show everybody, just like we always tell you about Democrats [and] where they stole their elections… just like they did – the one that that nice lady in Georgia that got zero votes in their own precinct – I want to find out in Dade County, what happened there.”

Jared Moskowitz, Democrat Congressman-elect from FL-23, defeating Republican Joe Budd by around 5 points, disagreed with Lindell’s skepticism of DeSantis’ and Republicans’ blowout performances.

“I can assure the pillow man. We got crushed. No conspiracy here,” he said.

James Lindsay, who runs New Discourses, warned rhetoric like Lindell’s undermines “real election integrity efforts,” and thinks the pillow salesman is misguided, but patriotic.

“Everything down to the wording of this makes me think that Mike Lindell is a highly patriotic but extremely vulnerable man being used without his realizing it to discredit real election integrity efforts, which is evil and sad if correct,” Lindsay said.

Some of those election integrity efforts include the establishment of the Office of Election Crimes and Security, which made an arrest shortly before the midterms, along with voter ID strengthening, prohibiting mass mail-in ballots, banning widespread ballot harvesting, and barring private money from administering state elections.

DeSantis garnered a greater share of the vote than Democrat Charlie Crist from blue counties like Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, Osceola, Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Seminole.

In Miami-Dade, Biden won by 7.3%. DeSantis won the county by around 11%.

Biden won Palm Beach by 12.8%. DeSantis is ahead by 2.9%.

Pinellas was a closer race in 2020, with Biden squeaking by with 0.3%. DeSantis flipped that to nearly 10% in his favor.

Biden won Hillsborough by 6.8% to DeSantis’ ~9%, Osceola went from 13.8% Biden to 6.7% DeSantis, and Seminole went from 2.8% Biden to ~12% DeSantis.

Republicans went into November’s election with a decisive lead above 300,000. In 2020, the Democrat lead heading into election day was around 115,000, when Donald Trump won the state by 3.4%. Republicans were positioned nearly half-a-million voters better in the early + mail-in vote, and only extended their lead on election day voting.
