Grant Stern, Executive Editor of Occupy Democrats, tweeted misinformation earlier today, falsely claiming that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been deleting the state’s daily COVID-19 data reporting.

This comes after Florida press secretary Christina Pushaw publicly announced that because more than 80% of Floridian’s over the age of 65 have been vaccinated, with vaccines widely available throughout the state, Florida is no longer issuing daily reports. Instead COVID-19 case and vaccine reporting are available on a weekly basis at floridahealthcovid19.gov.

Several people came to the Governor’s defense on Twitter, including Jay Caruso, managing editor of the DC Examiner. Jay debunked Grant’s tweet by pointing out the fact that Florida has moved to weekly reporting rather than daily reporting.

Despite the fact that many came to the Governor’s defense, Grant’s Tweet has received hundreds of likes and retweets and has been seen by thousands of people.

With this kind of misinformation rampant on social media, it’s now more important than ever for conservatives to support our great Governor and stand up to the spread of misinformation.
