TALLAHASSEE (FLV) – Gov. Ron DeSantis’ re-election campaign announced they have knocked on two million “individual doors” across Florida in support of the Republican incumbent.

“Campaign staff and volunteers have combined to produce unprecedented voter contact and are working to deliver a resounding victory on November 8th,” the campaign said. “Governor DeSantis’ Freedom Agenda is delivering historic results.”

Aspects of that agenda, the campaign says, include parental rights in education, safe communities, tax breaks, and protecting Florida’s environment.

“Team DeSantis is knocking on doors across the state of Florida to directly share how the Freedom Agenda is keeping Florida free.”

“We are seeing such overwhelming enthusiasm because of the policy accomplishments we’ve been able to deliver for the people of Florida. We have ensured parental rights in education, provided the largest tax relief package in state history, kept our communities safe, and restored our Everglades and natural resources. We’ve achieved so much in the past four years for Florida, and we’ve only just begun. Together, we will Keep Florida Free!” DeSantis said.

Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis has put her time and energy into the ‘Mamas for DeSantis’ initiative during the 2022 election cycle. The movement aims to mobilized Florida mothers to re-elect Ron DeSantis.

“We recently announced that 1.1 million Florida mamas have been mobilized through Mamas for DeSantis, and today’s historic announcement is further proof that Florida is fired up and ready to work hard to re-elect our Governor,” she said. “Our incredible volunteers and supporters have powered the largest movement of parents in Florida history to re-elect Governor DeSantis.”

In party registrations, Republicans have around 300,000 more registered voters than Democrats statewide. Recent polls give DeSantis a resounding double-digit lead, with no aggregated polls giving him less.

In early voting, Republicans hold a resounding lead approaching 300,000. Generally, Republicans are expected to increase their totals much more on election day in comparison to early and mail-in voting. In 2020, Democrats lead Republicans by more than 115,000 by election day, when Donald Trump won by more than 3 points.
