AMELIA ISLAND (FLV) – Gov. Ron DeSantis was endorsed by the Florida Transportation Builders’ Association on Thursday.

The endorsement is the organization’s first issued in its history after they changed their bylaws to allow endorsing candidates.

“Our transportation construction industry is vital to a strong economy and quality of life here in Florida, and our construction workforce is an important part of keeping our state free and open,” DeSantis said. “I am honored to have received the support of FTBA, a strong voice for the transportation construction industry in Florida.”

“On behalf of the Florida Transportation Builders’ Association (FTBA) board of directors, I am pleased to announce that FTBA – the voice of the transportation construction industry – has endorsed Governor Ron DeSantis in his re-election campaign to continue leading our great state forward,” Henry Mayfield, Chairman of the FTBA Board of Directors, said.

The FTBA represents thousands of Floridians who work in construction of transportation systems and furnishing materials, equipment, and services for construction.

Other endorsements for DeSantis’ campaign include the Florida State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police, Florida Police Chiefs Association, Florida Police Benevolent Association, and Florida Professional Firefighters.
