TALLAHASSEE (FLV) – Gov. Ron DeSantis announced his endorsement of Juan Fernandez-Barquin for State Rep. in District 118. Barquin is currently the State Rep. of District 119.

“I’m pleased to endorse @RepJuanFBarquin for re-election to the Florida House,” DeSantis said. “He has been a strong leader in protecting public safety and parental rights. I look forward to working with Juan to Keep Florida Free.”

“Thank you @RonDeSantisFL for your vote of confidence!” Barquin responded. “Count on me to stand along side you to #KeepFloridaFree!”

Barquin’s stated platform includes efforts to eliminate “wasteful” spending, small business jobs, bringing “conservative values” to Tallahassee, family safety, high quality education options, and solutions to reduce traffic and tolls.

“Juan Fernandez-Barquin has been a part of our community, District 119, for most of his life and understands what is important to our families,” his campaign says. “Juan Fernandez-Barquin has always been a leader when it comes to our local community and making sure our voice is heard all the way in the capital. Since 2018, he has been representing Miami-Dade in Tallahassee, Florida. With an extensive background in economics and politics, Barquin always makes sure his constituents come first.”
