DeSantis Endorses Rep. Paul Renner for Re-election

TALLAHASSEE (FLV) – Gov. Ron DeSantis announced Monday on Twitter that he has endorsed Republican Rep. Paul Renner as the Palm Coast lawmaker runs for re-election. He currently serves District 24.

Renner is set to become the next Florida Speaker of the House assuming he is re-elected in the upcoming November election. DeSantis said Renner has “been a strong supporter of our agenda in the House.”

“I’m pleased to endorse his re-election, and I look forward to working with Paul during his term as Speaker of the House,” DeSantis said.

Renner’s campaign focuses on issues including job growth, pro-life, pro-family, and limited government.

Renner is a U.S. Navy veteran and attended law school at the University of Florida and returned to public service as a state prosecutor. He has served in the Florida House since 2015.
