MILWAUKEE (FLV) – Gov. Ron DeSantis picked up 21 state-level endorsements following Wednesday night’s GOP debate, as reported by the Washington Examiner.

State officials who endorsed DeSantis include Tennessee state Rep. Gino Bulso, California Assemblyman Joe Patterson, and Illinois Senate Deputy Republican Leader Sue Rezin.

“Hardworking Americans are getting hammered by Joe Biden’s radical policies and rising prices. We need a president who understands how to rebuild the American dream and fight for the middle class,” Bulso said. “Ron DeSantis has the vision, experience, and energy to reverse our economy’s decline and make life affordable for working families.”

“Governor Ron DeSantis is the conservative warrior who can reverse our nation’s decline and revive America,” Patterson said. “As a resident of Gavin Newsom’s California, I know too well the ruinous costs of progressive lunacy. Only Ron DeSantis can restore sanity.”

“As a mom and Illinois State Senator, I am concerned about what our children are being taught in the classroom and what kind of country they will inherit. Ron DeSantis is the only candidate who can be trusted to fight for my family the same way he fights for his and I am proud to endorse him for president,” Rezin said.

Additional public officials who endorsed DeSantis include Arkansas state Rep. Zack Gramlich, Colorado state Sen. Larry Liston, Georgia state Rep. Jodi Lott, Kansas state Rep. Sandy Pickert, Mississippi state Rep. Fred Shanks, and Washington state Rep. Chris Corry.

DeSantis’ campaign has bragged of having high amounts of state-level official endorsements in the GOP field.

The governor’s latest endorsers comes as he looks to boost his primary chances after the first primary debate.

He recently hired James Uthmeier as his new campaign manager as part of a campaign shakeup and revamp.

DeSantis lags behind frontrunner Donald Trump by nearly 40% nationally, per the aggregate of polls from RealClearPolitics.
