DeSantis releases new ad: ‘Freedom is Worth Fighting For’
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (FLV) – Sunday evening, after announcing Rumble is his “video sharing service of choice,” Gov. Ron DeSantis released a new campaign-style ad dubbed “Freedom is Worth Fighting For.”
The ad features dramatic music playing over sound bytes of DeSantis’ second inaugural address last month.
“When the world lost its mind… When common sense suddenly became an uncommon virtue… Florida was a refuge of sanity,” he said.
“Some even say that ‘failure is inevitable,'” he went on, speaking about pandemic restrictions, mandates, slamming President Joe Biden’s border and energy policies, and warning against growing pessimism.
The ad changes tune with DeSantis pointing to his “record we can all be proud of.”
“We are the nation’s fastest growing state. We ranked number one in education Freedom. We are number one in each economic freedom. Florida also ranks number one in public higher education,” DeSantis said.
The video concludes, “Decline is a choice, success is attainable, and freedom is worth fighting for.”

DeSantis’ ad comes just a couple days before his Feb. 28 “The Courage to Be Free” book launch.
“I’m excited to announce an exclusive, signed edition of my new book ‘The Courage to Be Free,’” DeSantis announced.
According to the book’s store page, readers can purchase a $50 version of the book classed “Autographed First Edition” and a $75 version called “Autographed First Edition Numbered Book Set.”
According to an EventBrite page, DeSantis will kick off his book launch in North Venice, Florida.
“No leader has accomplished more for his state than Governor DeSantis, and he is now sharing this winning blueprint with the country,” the event description said.
Soon after, DeSantis will travel to other parts of the country, like Texas and California.
March 3, DeSantis is set to attend the Harris County GOP’s Lincoln Reagan Dinner.
The Harris County event tickets will reportedly start at $250, and the Dallas event at $500.
Then, DeSantis is flying to California’s Orange County to headline “An Evening with Special Guest Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida” on March 5.
At the Orange County GOP’s event, general admission tickets begin at $500, and attendees can purchase the “Platinum Sponsor” tier for $15,000.
DeSantis will then speak at the Alabama Republican Party annual winter dinner on March 9.
On the Orange County GOP’s ticket page, they noted that general attendees will also receive a copy of DeSantis’ book that releases on Feb. 28 – Florida’s Blueprint for America’s Revival.
“No American leader has accomplished more for his state than Governor Ron DeSantis. Now, he reveals how he did it,” the book description said. “This book is a winning blueprint for patriots across the country. And it is a rallying cry for every American who wishes to preserve our liberties.”
The book will cover key moments in his life, like growing up in a working-class family, playing in the Little League World Series, education at Yale and Harvard, volunteering for the Navy after 9/11, serving in Iraq, his family, and insight into his thinking when grappling with COVID-19 restrictions, Critical Race Theory, ‘woke’ companies, and “legacy media.”
“What Florida has done is establish a blueprint for governance that has produced tangible results while serving as a rebuke to the entrenched elites who have driven our nation into the ground. Florida is proof positive that we, the people are not powerless in the face of these elites,” DeSantis wrote.
