PALM BEACH (FLV) – Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022, off the heels of the midterms, Former President Donald Trump announced his bid for president in 2024. The announcement was made at Mar-a-Lago.

He filed for president moments before.

“America’s comeback starts right now,” Trump remarked. He said his tenure witnessed American prosperity, peace, and good economic times.

On the Biden Administration, he said, “All they had to do was sit back and watch.”

He vowed to work to tackle organized crime, secure the border, negotiate peace, prevent nuclear war, achieve energy independence, lower inflation, cut taxes, and achieve other “America First” agenda items familiar from his first term.

Trump began the speech painting a dull, depressing picture of America under President Joe Biden. He slammed record inflation, gas prices, relaxed border policies, and foreign policy resulting in more war.

“Our country could not take [4 more years of Joe Biden]. And I say that not in laughter, I say that in tears,” he continued.

“It does not have to be this way […] Soon we will be a great nation again.”

In his bid to re-take the White House, Trump issued a message of calls for unity and healing.

“This will not be my campaign, this will be our campaign, all together – because the only force strong enough to defeat the massive corruption is you, the American people […] We’re gonna unify people.”

One promise Trump issued was to reinstate military members fired during the Biden Administration because of being subject of COVID-19 mandates.

Trump teased the announcement before the midterms. In Miami the Sunday before the Nov. 8 election, he hinted at an Ohio rally that he would be making announcement.

Many speculated Trump might have announced on the eve of the midterms, but at the end of his Ohio rally, Trump said he would make an announcement in Mar-a-Lago on Nov. 15.

The former president rattled off a long list of midterm endorsements, many of whom won. In Florida, that includes Ron DeSantis and Marco Rubio.

President Joe Biden has indicated he will run in 2024.

Some have already endorsed for Trump for 2024, before his announcement. The New York Young Republican Club said they “proudly” endorse Trump to be elected president in 2024.
