TALLAHASSEE (FLV) – Gov. Ron DeSantis announced that Florida Department of Law Enforcement Commissioner Mark Glass would continue serving for the governor’s second term.

“Commissioner Mark Glass has done a great job at the helm of [the Florida Department of Law Enforcement] – I look forward to having him continue in his role in our second term,” DeSantis said.

The governor released a video montage of Glass speaking at various press conferences.

“In Florida, when we say we have accurate and reliable elections, we mean it,” Glass says in the video.

In another part of the video, Glass says, “The effects of illegal immigration on our state presented very real and cost to our citizens, both in terms of increased crime and the stretching of law enforcement resources.”

He has served for 30 years in the United States Armed Forces, served in the U.S. Army as a UH-60 Blackhawk pilot, and as a Jayhawk pilot for the U.S. Coast Guard. Other roles include the Florida Army National Guard and the District of Columbia National Guard.
