TALLAHASSEE, FL – Last week, Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo was supposed to meet with Florida Senator Tina Polsky (D) in her office. Polsky claimed that because Ladapo refused to wear a mask, she asked that he leave.

Ladapo offered to hold the meeting outside but the Democrat declined, saying that she preferred meeting in her office because it is “nice and spacious.”

Polsky reported that she has breast cancer, a serious medical condition that greatly increases likelihood of severe COVID-19 infection.

However, video from October 20, the same day as the meeting, shows that Polsky met with an unmasked Democrat on the same day as the altercation with the Surgeon General.

In the video, the Democrat official is in close proximity to fellow Florida Senator Loranne Ausley (D) at an Agriculture Committee hearing.

Conservatives have denounced Polsky’s actions as hypocritical, given her being in close proximity to unmasked officials. Polsky used the mishap with Ladapo to call for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) to withdraw his nomination of Ladapo as Florida’s Surgeon General.

Polsky’s actions are not the first time Democrats have disobeyed their own COVID-19 rules. Monday, President Joe Biden (D) proceeded to shake the hands of several attendees of his speech after coughing directly into his hand.
