TALLAHASSEE (FCV) – Governor Ron DeSantis (R) was joined by healthcare professionals like Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo and Dr. Robert W. Malone, a highly publicized physician and biochemist, to discuss COVID-19 misinformation and failed policies.

Roundtable also available on Rumble

At the roundtable, titled “The Curtain Close on COVID Theater,” DeSantis and healthcare professionals discussed how there is no scientific evidence that would permit lockdowns, mask wearing, and health mandates.

“I would not have viewed the medical community as a threat to my rights,” DeSantis remarked, saying that Americans likely now distrust the medical community after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ladapo announced that the Florida Department of Health is going to officially recommend against giving COVID-19 vaccines to healthy children.

“They want us to forget that their choices that they [lockdowners and Democrats] made for everyone were the wrong choices that basically lead to no appreciable benefit,” he said.

“The Florida Department of Health is going to be the first state to officially recommend against the COVID-19 vaccines for healthy children,” Ladapo said at the end of the discussion.

“You have this lack of trust in the medical establishment … and that’s not gonna bode well for us as a society going forward.”

A big focus of the discussion was cost-benefit analysis. Dr. Malone was joined by other doctors to explain that there needs to be medical freedom to choose whether one receives the vaccine due to the its risk. For example, the cost-benefit of a 70 year old getting the vaccine is much more favorable in comparison to a 12 year old doing the same.

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, children accounted to 0%-0.26% of all COVID-19 deaths, and 3 states “reported zero child deaths.”
