FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Florida gas prices have dropped to their lowest level since June 2021, according to a release from AAA.

“Pump prices are falling at the perfect time, as more than 6 million Floridians prepare to take a road trip for the year-end holidays,” AAA spokesman Mark Jenkins said. “Strong domestic gasoline supplies and low oil prices have contributed to the downward pressure on prices at the pump.”

Across the state, 88% of gas stations remained under $3 per gallon. Gas prices also were under were under $2.75 at 33% of locations.

Of metro markets, Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater and Orlando produced the lowest pump price at $2.73. Pensacola also recorded a low price of $2.74 per gallon.

On the high end, West Palm Beach-Boca Raton stayed costly at $3.09. Gas prices also leveled at $3.00 in Naples in southwest Florida.

While fuel costs have fallen, AAA warned a slight increase is possible. However, drivers can expect prices to remain low throughout the holiday season.
