Florida Politics Owner Peter Schorsch: Faithful Democratic Donor & Supporter

ST PETERSBURG (FCV) – Peter Schorsch, the owner of several Florida news websites like Florida Politics, has been a faithful Democrat donor since 2012.

According to the Securities and Exchange Commission, in the past decade, Schorsch has donated money to various Democratic outlets like ActBlue, Obama For America, Hillary For America, Charlie Crist For Congress, Biden Victory Fund, and Biden For President.

Charlie Crist (D) plans to challenge Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) in 2022.

Schorsch has come under fire from conservatives for his left-wing bias in media coverage of prominent figures like DeSantis.

In August, Schorsch was seen using DeSantis’ children as political tools in a conversation about school mask mandates.

“I asked Gov.’s Office what school the DeSantis family picked,” he said, after hunting for which school they attend.

Schorsch can also be seen in the Twitter account “Charlie Crist’s Fan.” 

FCV has reported on the problematic actions of Schorsch and Florida Politics numerous times in recent history, such as when they silently altered a report on sexual harassment claims against Florida State Senator Joe Gruters (R).

Recently, the pro-Charlie Crist outlet seemingly bashed DeSantis for calling out media lies in relation to the Waukesha, Wisconsin Christmas parade attack in which a man with black nationalist social media war charged with killing several and injured many.
