TALLAHASSEE (FLV) – With only two months left until the November midterm election, the Republican National Committee says attempts by Democrats to ‘re-write history’ on their COVID-19 lockdown policies will not be taken seriously, especially in Florida.

“The original Lockdown Libs, Florida Democrats, played politics with the jobs, educations and livelihoods of Floridians. Voters will remember that in November,” said RNC Spokeswoman Julia Friedland. The GOP wants to “remind voters who was on their side,” saying, “it definitely wasn’t Florida Democrats,” providing the following old Tweets from Senator Annette Taddeo and Congressman Darren Soto:

The GOP says, “By ignoring hysterical Democrats like Darren Soto, Annette Taddeo and Charlie Crist, Governor DeSantis’ leadership allowed Florida to fare far better than Democrat-run states. They were wrong, he was right and Floridians are better off because of it.”

On Wednesday, U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds, R-FL, tweeted similar remarks to reminder to voters:

On Tuesday, the Republican Party of Florida released a video thanking DeSantis and highlighting accomplishments ranging from saving businesses during the pandemic, protecting worship, and more.

The midterm election will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 8 2022.
