TAMPA (FLV) – Jackie Toledo’s campaign sent a mass text message to voters claiming Moms for Liberty endorsed her when in fact the group did not.

Toledo is running for the U.S. House of Representatives in Florida’s 15th District. Toledo’s campaign sent a mass message to absentee voters about the endorsement but Moms for Liberty tells Florida’s Voice the group did not endorse Toledo.

“Jackie Toledo has been endorsed by Sheriff Chad Chronister, Turning Point USA & Moms for Liberty just to name a few,” the text message to voters said.

Toledo told Florida’s Voice that an “incorrect text” was sent and that the message meant to list the Community Patriots endorsement.

“I have reached out to Moms for liberty to apologize for the error. We were endorsed by the Community Patriots,” Toledo said. “We respect the choices of groups to endorse who they choose to endorse and we look forward to all working together to take back the House and defeat the Biden regime.”

Moms for Liberty was founded in 2021 by parents and former school board members. Their mission is to defend parental rights on all levels of government by unifying and empowering parents. The group has created a massive grassroots network of parents across the country.

Toledo’s campaign has previously lied about receiving an endorsement from Florida CFO Jimmy Patronis. The Floridian reports that Toledo’s fundraising consultants sent an email to individuals in Washington, D.C. claiming she is “already lining up key endorsements in this race,” including State Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis.

Both Patronis and his campaign told the Floridian that they did not endorse Toledo.
