Jacksonville, Duval County election results: Democrats take mayor seat

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (FLV) – Here are the unofficial election results for the Duval County 2023 Unitary General election, including races for mayor, city council and property appraiser.

The following election results are from the Duval County Supervisor of Elections website.

Jacksonville Mayor

Democrat Donna Deegan beat Republican Daniel Davis in the Jacksonville mayoral race.

Property Appraiser

Democrat Joyce Morgan won the Duval County Property Appraiser race against Republican Jason Fischer.

City Council At-Large – Group 5

Republican Chris Miller beat Democrat Charles Garrison. Election results show Miller with about 52% of the vote while Garrison held around 47% of the vote.

City Council District 2

Republican Mike Gay clenched the win against Republican Lindsey Brock. Gay received about 52% of the vote while Brock received nearly 48%.

City Council District 7

Democrat Jimmy Peluso won in this race against Republica Joseph Hogan by a large margin. Peluso received 64% of the vote while Hogan received 35%.

City Council District 8

Democrat Reggie Gaffney Jr. beat Democrat Tameka Gaines Holly. Gaffney clenched nearly 52% of the vote while Gaines received 48%.

City Council District 9

Democrat Tyrona Clark-Murray won against Republican Mike Muldoon approximately 54% to 45%.

City Council District 11

Republican Raul Arias beat Democrat Ramon Day with around 53% of the vote compared to around 46%.

City Council District 14

Democrat Rahman Johnson won against Republican John Draper more than 52% of the vote compared to 47%.
