TALLAHASSEE (FCV) – Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki complained about Governor Ron DeSantis (R) at a press conference for opposing tyrannical health mandates.

“I would say there is a distinct difference between ‘standing in the way,’ which Ron DeSantis did – of teachers, school administrators, and others taking steps to protect the students and their school communities,” she said.

“There’s a difference between standing in the way of it – threatening to pull back funding – and allowing for local school districts to make choices, which is what a number of these states are doing,” Psaki said in reference to states like Florida which prohibited mask and vaccine mandates.

Psaki went on to say that a “huge chunk of people” still want masks, but claimed that the White House is listening to so-called “data” in reference to federal policies on mandates.

In reality, no “data” has suggested mask mandates or lockdowns worked. Multiple studies disproved their effectiveness.

One study out of England reported that the use of masks in schools to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is “inconclusive.”

According to the study, schools that used masks in October 2021 saw an absence reduction two to three weeks later of 5.3% to 3%. Schools that did not use masks saw a reduction of 5.3% to 3.6%, virtually no difference, statistically.

In fact, 94% of school leaders and teachers reported that face coverings had harmful effects on learning, not good ones.

Another study came out of Johns Hopkins University which reported that lockdowns had “no noticeable impact” on COVID-19 mortality rates in the United States and Europe. The likely change detected was a -0.2% change in mortality.

Researchers explained that the study showed “little to not public health effects” of lockdowns, but they noted that imposing lockdowns “imposed enormous economic and social costs where they have been adopted.”

“In consequence, lockdown policies are ill-founded and should be rejected as a pandemic policy instrument,” they said.

According to available data, and even now admitted by major left-wing figures and media outlets, lockdowns and mandates are not needed nor effective. Conservatives point out that this has been the position of popular figures like DeSantis for over a year.
