Joe Biden to Campaign in Florida with Charlie Crist

FORT LAUDERDALE (FLV) – On Tuesday, Nov. 1, President Joe Biden will travel to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to participate in a reception for Democrat gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist, according to reports.

Additional details will be released at a later date. Biden previously was scheduled to attend a rally for Crist in the end of September, which was postponed amidst to Hurricane Ian.

Crist will face off against Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis in a debate on Oct. 24, according to previous reports.

WPEC-TV’s website said the debate will be presented live at 7 p.m. and held at the Sunrise Theatre.

According to two recent polls, DeSantis is continuing to expand his lead over Crist.

One poll, aggregated by RealClearPolitics gives DeSantis a 7-point lead over Crist, 47.8%-41%. The partisan breakdown is 37D-37R-21NPA and the poll was conducted among 500 likely voters from Sep. 15-18.

In the Civiqs poll, DeSantis also holds a 7% lead over Crist: 52%-45%.

The election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022.
