TALLAHASSEE (FLV) – Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo said mRNA COVID-19 vaccines are “far less safe” than other vaccines based on an autopsy-based clinical research in a cardiology study.

According to the study, recently, unusual cases of (epi-)myocarditis after vaccination with mRNA-based anti-SARS-CoV-2-vaccines have been documented. These were clinically observed and diagnosed by laboratory and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, predominantly in males under 30 years of age. Available short-term follow-up data suggest resolution of symptoms. However, some individuals required intensive care support or even died from acute heart failure.

“These deaths aren’t captured by other studies because these patients never made it to the hospital…mRNA COVID-19 vaccines are far less safe than any vaccines widely used,” said Ladapo. “When does sanity return to science? Why do scientists breathlessly defend this technology?”

Ladapo thanked MD and Clinical Researcher Tracy Hoeg for highlighting results.

“Autopsies found that 5/35 people who died suddenly within 20 days of COVID-19 vaccination had myocarditis as a likely/possible cause of death.”

In October, Ladapo announced new mRNA COVID-19 vaccine guidance, advising against males aged 18-39 years old from taking those vaccines due to a reported 84% increase in the relative incidence of heart-related deaths.

Ladapo also warned about the risks of vaccinating “healthy children with no underlying conditions.” The surgeon general questioned the CDC on Twitter.

“A pre-print from Thailand found that 3.5% of adolescent boys had overt or subclinical myocarditis after getting the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Is @CDCGov doing similar prospective study in the US? Is anyone?”

The results of the study said that among the 35 cases of the University of Heidelberg, autopsies revealed other causes of death (due to pre-existing illnesses) in 10 patients. Hence, these were excluded from further analysis. Cardiac autopsy findings consistent with (epi-)myocarditis were found in five cases of the remaining 25 bodies found unexpectedly dead at home within 20 days following SARS-CoV-2 vaccination.
