JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (FLV) – Garrison is a notable player in the Jacksonville business sector as the co-owner and president of Miranda Contracting, LLC. He has also used his skillset to serve in government roles.

When city council members voted in March to appoint Garrison to the Downtown Investment Authority, they praised Garrison as an “amazing addition” who will “add to the rich fabric of our city.”

The Downtown Investment Authority’s goal is to attract investment and facilitate job creation.

As the fastest growing city in Florida, young leaders like Josh offer a unique perspective into the needs and wants of young professionals looking to make Jacksonville home. Not yet 40, and Josh is already making his mark for Jacksonville, and I couldn’t be more proud to call him a friend.

Garrison’s company works in civil construction projects for land developers, general contractors and government entities. It performs full-site development, underground utility installation, and earthwork. He has worked in the industry for more than 16 years.

As our industry works to serve our clients’ needs and play a roll in tackling the workforce housing crisis, Josh is a serious player and trusted professional who continues to step up for Jacksonville. I have had the pleasure of working with, and serving on the Planning Commission alongside Josh, and I am impressed by his ability to thoughtfully listen to the details of complex issues in order to make an informed decision.
