Joy Reid Falsely Claims DeSantis is on Vacation, Then Says It’s “Unclear”

NEW YORK (FCV) – Thursday afternoon, Joy-Ann Reid, host of The ReidOut on MSNBC, falsely stated that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) is “sunning his belly on vacation.”

10 minutes later, after conservatives leaped to call her out, Reid sent a reply to her own tweet, saying that it “remains unclear” if “he is indeed on vacation.”

And that of course is if he is indeed on vacation, which remains unclear…

In fact, the day Reid claimed that DeSantis is “not governing,” DeSantis held a meeting with Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo.

FCV fact-checked the claim that DeSantis is on vacation Thursday.

DeSantis had a full schedule while social media Democrats were claiming he is on vacation.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden (D) recently left his beach house to continue his vacation in Wilmington, Delaware, while the Omicron variant of COVID-19 surges across the country.

Today, DeSantis has a full work schedule with several meetings.
