JACKSONVILLE (FLV) – Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters, the Fraternal Order of Police (Lodge 5-30,) and Rep. John Rutherford, R-FL, endorsed Republican candidate for Jacksonville City Council District 2 Lindsey Brock.

“Jacksonville can find no greater supporter of law enforcement than Lindsey Brock. He will bring his decades of experience to the city council and will be a strong advocate for his constituents. I enthusiastically endorse Lindsey for city council district 2,” Waters said.

Brock said he is a supporter of law enforcement. He said one of his top priorities is “fighting violent crime and supporting our first responders.”

Brock also said he will work to add more officers to the streets, increase local patrols, and make sure law enforcement has the tools necessary to keep families safe.

“Jacksonville police are proud to endorse Lindsey Brock for city council. He is the only candidate in district 2 that has a proven track record of supporting law enforcement. Voters can trust Lindsey to stand up for our values in City Hall,” President of the Jacksonville Fraternal Order of Police Randy Reeves said.

Brock has been a Jacksonville resident since 1978. He is a founding member of McLeod Law, a maritime, transportation, logistics, and public policy law firm. He graduated from the University of Florida and Tulane University School of Law and holds numerous awards and certifications from the maritime and transportation legal community.

“Lindsey Brock has been a strong community advocate and friend for many years. He’s a principled supporter of our first responders and is committed to keeping our streets safe. I’m proud to endorse Lindsey Brock for city council district 2,” Rutherford said.

Brock is a proud community trustee who has served in a variety of leadership roles in Jacksonville, including:

  • Chairman, City of Jacksonville Charter Revision Commission, 2019-2020.
  • Appointee by Rutherford, U.S. Maritime Transportation System National Advisory Council, 2018 – 2022.
  • Commissioner, Jacksonville Waterways Commission, 2016 – 2022.
  • Commissioner, Northeast Florida Regional Transportation Commission, 2015-2018.
  • President, Greater Arlington Republican Club, 2022-Present.

  • Co-Founder, Terry Parker High School Alumni Fund, Inc., 2009-Present.

Brock’s other priorities for his campaign include boosting the economy and local business by reducing regulation, cutting red tape, and keeping taxes low. As a “dedicated conservative,” he plans to balance Jacksonville’s budget and be a transparent, accessible voice for the city.

“Since day one of this campaign I’ve pledged that public safety will be my top priority on city council. I will fight to hire more police officers and firefighters while supporting our existing first responders. We must also improve local education and create jobs to begin addressing our city’s root causes of crime.” Brock said.

Jacksonville Association of Firefighters, JAXBIZ of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, Northeast Florida Association of Realtors, Clay County Sheriff Michelle Cook, City Council Member Rory Diamond, City Council Member Randy White, City Council Member Kevin Carrico, City Council Member Aaron Bowman, City Council Member Nick Howland, City Council Vice-President Ron Salem, and City Council President Terrance Freeman have also endorsed Brock.
