Matt Gaetz on Pro-Abortion Women: ‘Nobody Wants to Impregnate You if You Look Like a Thumb!’

TAMPA (FLV) – At a Turning Point USA Conference this past weekend, U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-FL, said that pro-abortion women look like a “thumb” and are the least likely to get pregnant.

“Our America is a pro-life nation – proudly,” he said. “Have you watched these pro-abortion, pro-murder rallies? The people are just disgusting!”

“Why is it that the women with the least likelihood of getting pregnant are the ones most worried about having abortions? Nobody wants to impregnate you if you look like a thumb!” he said.

“They’re like 5’2″, 350 pounds, and they’re like ‘Give me abortions or I’ll get up and march and protest,’ and I’m thinking – march? You look like you got ankles weaker than the legal reasoning behind Roe v. Wade! A few of ’em need to march!”

After the event, a reporter asked Gaetz about his comments.

“Is it safe to say that, based off your comments, you’re suggesting that these women at these abortion rallies are ugly and overweight?” the reporter asked, to which Gaetz replied, “Yes.”

“What do you say to people who think that those comments are offensive?” the reporter asked.

“Be offended,” he said.
