WASHINGTON, D.C. (FLV) – White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was slammed by Attorney General Ashley Moody for claiming President Joe Biden has done “more than any prior president” to secure the U.S. Border.

Jean-Pierre said Biden has been able to “build a safe, orderly and humane immigration system.”

“Look, the president is doing the work and if you think about the record funding, he has done more than any prior president to secure the border and build a safe, orderly and humane immigration system and that’s what the president has been able to do,” Jean-Pierre said.

Attorney General Ashley Moody pointed to the “RECORD number of illegal immigrants encountered by border patrol,” the “RECORD number of suspected terrorists” and the “RECORD number of fentanyl deaths.”

“She doesn’t just say something absolutely false & absurd, she doubles, triples, quadruples down on it!!! More than ANY prior president??? Laughable,” one Twitter user replied.

U.S. Coast Guard crews sent hundreds of migrants back to Cuba following an influx of migrants landing in the Florida Keys, prompting Gov. Ron DeSantis to activate the Florida National Guard this week.

Crews repatriated 187 people to Cuba on Tuesday, 187 people on Monday, and 273 people on Sunday. Additional rescues were made the prior weekend.

“We’ve been very aggressive, really across the board at mitigating the damage from Biden’s disastrous border policies and part of it is you know, just what they’re doing at the border, but part of it is the message that’s gone out to say, ‘the rules don’t matter, just show up and you’re fine’ and you can’t run a country like that,” DeSantis said.

“And it’s caused a lot of problems and so we were seeing, the Coast Guard had brought in like 300 people that they had onboarded and put them in the Florida Keys. Well, they didn’t have the ability to take care of those folks. There’s vessels left everywhere in people’s property and all this so we declared a state of emergency, we provided coast guard[s] the assistance that they’ve asked for, we are gonna clear the vessels, free of charge for those residents ’cause it wasn’t their fault, maybe we’ll send the bill to Biden, we’ll see,” he continued.

Since Oct. 1, 2022, Coast Guard crews have interdicted 4,795 Cubans compared to:

  • 6,182 Cuban Migrants in Fiscal Year 2022
  • 838 Cuban Migrants in Fiscal Year 2021
  • 49 Cuban Migrants in Fiscal Year 2020
  • 313 Cuban Migrants in Fiscal Year 2019
  • 259 Cuban Migrants in Fiscal Year 2018
  • 1,468 Cuban Migrants in Fiscal Year 2017
  • 5,396 Cuban Migrants in Fiscal Year 2016

Since March 2021, U.S. Border Patrol has released approximately one million immigrants at the Southwest Border, including as many as 105,000 in a single month. To compare, in the last month of the Trump Administration, only 17 were released.

Border crossings reportedly topped 2.76 million, breaking previous record. Border Patrol encountered nearly 100 people on the terrorist watchlist in fiscal year 2022, a 276 percent increase when compared to the past five years combined.

Moody’s team of attorneys is taking the Biden Administration to court over unlawful immigration policies such as “the intentional dismantling of the public safety immigration structures fueling the border chaos and fentanyl crisis.”

Fentanyl is now the number one killer of Americans ages 18-45. The Drug Enforcement Administration announced they seized more than 379 million deadly doses of fentanyl in 2022 which is enough to kill every man, woman and child in the U.S.
