TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (FLV) – Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody criticized President Joe Biden Thursday after a state operation found about 40% of those arrested for child sex trafficking exploitation to be illegal immigrants.

“Floridians should not pay the price for your deliberate destruction of our border,” Moody said.

“Joe Biden, do your job, Protect our children. Secure the border NOW,” she exclaimed on social media.

Florida officials reportedly announced the results following an operation to crack down on child sex exploitation, which resulted in 19 people being arrested in Bay County. Seven of those were in the country illegally.

This was part of the national Operation Cross Country XIII, which Fox News said involved the FBI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.

“Sex traffickers exploit and endanger some of the most vulnerable members of our society and cause their victims unimaginable harm,” Attorney General Merrick Garland said.

The DeSantis administration has consistently been critical of the Biden administration’s border policies.

Recently, Moody filed a complaint against the Biden administration for “unlawful” border policies.

Florida also filed a lawsuit in May, attempting prevent the “mass release” of illegal migrants following Title 42’s ending.
