CONCORD, N.H. (FLV) – New Hampshire Republican state Rep. Jordan Ulery is one of the latest to flip endorsements in the 2024 presidential primary.

Ulery initially supported former President Donald Trump’s White House bid, but as reported by the NH Journal and highlighted by Gov. Ron DeSantis’ campaign, the lawmaker’s support has flipped in the Florida governor’s favor.

“I am proud to endorse Ron DeSantis for president,” Ulery said. “He is the conservative candidate our party needs to put the focus back on the issues and unify us with a shared vision of reversing our nation’s decline, which starts with sending Joe Biden back to his basement.”

“From limiting government to slaying the bureaucratic state in D.C. to bringing energy prices down for families, Ron DeSantis is the candidate who will get things done for New Hampshire families and the American people,” he continued.

His campaign also reportedly announced the support from state Rep. Joe Sweeney and Goffstown school board member Jared Talbot.

DeSantis’ campaign boasted of achieving the support from 70 New Hampshire officials.

New Hampshire is a crucial early primary state, to be held just after the Iowa caucuses in early 2024.

Lawmakers in such important states have been flipping between Trump and DeSantis since the Florida governor launched his campaign a few months ago.

Two New Hampshire Republican lawmakers initially changed their minds on who to support for the 2024 GOP primary.

Before DeSantis kicked off his campaign in late May, the governor garnered more than 50 New Hampshire lawmakers‘ endorsements.

Albeit DeSantis’ strong local endorsement showing in states like New Hampshire, nationally, Trump is the clear endorsement leader, as tracked by FiveThirtyEight.
