Nikki Fried’s ‘Wont Back Down’ Political Committee Endorses 20 Pro-Choice Women Candidates
TALLAHASSEE (FLV) – Florida’s only statewide elected Democrat Nikki Fried is endorsing 20 pro-choice women through her previously launched “Won’t Back Down” political committee.
The state political committee is dedicated to supporting pro-choice women and getting a constitutional amendment protecting a woman’s right to choose on the ballot in 2024, according to the website.
The list includes the following pro-choice candidates in Florida:
- Congresswoman Val Demings who is running for U.S. Senate
- Aramis Ayala who is running for Attorney General
- Naomi E. Blemur who is running for FL Commissioner of Agriculture
- Loranne Ausley who is running in State Senate District 3
- Senator Janet Cruz who is running in State Senate District 14
- Eunic Ortiz who is running in State Senate District 18
- Raquel Pacheco who is running in State Senate District 36
- Janelle Perez who is running in State Senate District 38
- Kristen Arrington who is running in State House District 46
- Lindsay Cross who is running in State House District 60
- Janet Varnell Warwick who is running in State House District 61
- Michele Rayner-Goolsby who is running State House District 62
- Kelly Skidmore who is running State House District 92
- Hillary Cassel who is running for State House District 101
- Marie Woodson who is running in State House District 105
- Donna Deegan who is running for the Mayor of Jacksonville
- Allison Miller who is running for State Attorney in the 6th Judicial Circuit
- Donna Korn who is running for Broward School Board, Seat 8
- Yvette DuBose who is running for Ft. Lauderdale City Commission, District 3
- Michelle Oyola McGovern who is running for Palm Beach County Commission District 6
Fried released a previous video saying, “women in Florida are losing our freedom – but mark my words, we will not be silenced. We will not be controlled. We will persist – and win.”
Fried says the committee will help “transform Florida into the pro-choice state Floridians actually want.”
The committee has $35,000 of contributions listed ahead of the endorsement announcement.
