TAMPA (FLV) – As Democrats across the country are now discussing bringing back lockdowns and mask mandates, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, run by Democrat Mayor Jim Kenney, has reinstated one of their own.

Starting Monday, masks are required in all public indoor spaces in Philadelphia. The city has moved to “Level 2: Mask Precautions,” citing a rise in COVID-19 cases. The mandate applies to spaces like restaurants, businesses, offices, and sports arenas.

The school district in Philadelphia had already been requiring masks.

However, it was noted by the Ron DeSantis for Governor campaign that Kenney was spotted vacationing in Florida not wearing a mask earlier this year.

“The Lockdown Libs are back on the road for another nationwide tour!,” the DeSantis campaign mockingly said of pro-mask Democrats on Twitter.

In the campaign video, they contrasted the pro-lockdown tendencies of Democrats with DeSantis’ unwavering remarks: “No Floridian will be restricted, mandated, or locked down in any possible way.”

“Deja vu, here we go again,” one reporter in the video said of the returning restrictions.

Several other high-profile liberals have been spotted enjoying DeSantis’ mask- and lockdown-free policies in Florida, like U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, CNN’s Don Lemon, and U.S. Representative Eric Swalwell.

U.S. District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle struck down the Biden Administration’s nationwide transportation mask mandate.

Moody lead states in a lawsuit against the order beginning in March, where she argued that the Center for Disease Control and Prevention “exceeds the agency’s authority and interferes with state laws banning forced masking.”

“Florida has led the nation in standing up to misguided federal government policies and fighting back against heavy-handed mandates that have no scientific backing,” DeSantis said in March.
