JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (FLV) – Rep. Joel Rudman, R-Navarre, and former Rep. Jayer Williamson R-Santa Rosa, have formally endorsed Frank White, a state senate candidate for District 1.

“I’m proud to stand with Frank White because he understands that government doesn’t create jobs, the free market does,” Rudman said in a co-statement with Williamson, obtained by Florida’s Voice.

The representative mentioned that White will keep a “watchful eye” on government bureaucrats so that they do not “stifle” the economy with “unneeded regulations.”

“I am proud to endorse Frank White for the Florida Senate because I know he will be a taxpayer champion for our families and small businesses by fighting wasteful spending and tax increases,” said Williamson.

The endorsements come after several lawmakers expressed their own support for White’s senate bid.

Soon after White announced his candidacy, Sen. Doug Broxson, R-Pensacola, endorsed him as the successor for the district seat that Broxson currently holds.

White formerly served one term as representative for District 2 in the legislature. He ran for Florida attorney general in 2018, but lost in the Republican primary to Ashley Moody, the current attorney general.
