WASHINGTON, D.C. (FLV) – Florida Republican Sen. Rick Scott criticized the Biden administration’s handling of the southern border in a new video, which also jabs at Florida Democrats.

In a release, Scott lamented the Biden administration’s and its members as “incompetent” for insisting the border is secure, despite record numbers of illegal immigrants and deadly drugs flowing through the U.S. – Mexico border.

Scott further questioned the administration’s apprehension that a crisis was even “unfolding”.

“Do the failed Florida Democrats agree with the leader of their party that the border is secure?” it said. “Do they believe there is a crisis at the southern border?”

The ad begins with President Joe Biden being asked by a reporter “how he felt things are going at the border,” in which Biden chuckled on his bike, “Much better than you all expected.”

Vice President Kamala Harris and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas are also opined as saying the border was secure and not open, respectively.

The video displayed a Fox News clip showing 98 arrests of individuals on the terrorist watch list for fiscal year 2022, according to Customs and Border Protection reports.

Another clip by NBC News showed 1.7 million undocumented migrants being apprehended over the last year.

Scott said Floridians “deserved” to know where Florida Democrats stand on Joe Biden’s “dangerous” amnesty and open borders agenda.

The Florida senator announced his run for reelection in January.
