FORT MYERS (FLV) – Simply Healthcare’s Care-A-Van delivered nearly 20,000 donated items for moms and babies impacted by Hurricane Ian in Fort Myers this week.

Simply Healthcare launched the drive last week in Miami with the help of Lt. Governor Jeanette Nunez.

Items included 10,000 diapers, 5,000 bottles of water, 458 packages of baby wipes, 372 adult toiletry items, 364 first aid kits and items, 173 containers of baby formula, 106 baby bottles and more.

“When Florida needs to recover, we recover together. The entire state has joined hands to help those most impacted by this devastating storm,” Nuñez said.

The Simply Healthcare “Moms & Babies” supply drive was created in partnership with the Florida Department of Health (DOH), the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and Department of Management Services (DMS).
