SARASOTA (FLV) – Former President Donald Trump endorsed Sen. Joe Gruters as he seeks re-election to serve in the Florida Legislature.

“Joe Gruters is delivering tremendous results for the incredible people of Florida!” Trump said in a message from Save America PAC.

The Republicans overtook Democrats in party registration under Party Chairman and Florida State Senator Joe Gruters who is a close ally of former President Donald Trump. Gruters was one of the first major figures to support Trump in the 2016 Election.

“A proud fourth generation Sarasotan and small business owner, Joe is fighting hard to Grow Florida’s Economy, Create Great Jobs, Lower Taxes, Slash Regulations, and Ensure Free, Fair and Honest Elections,” Trump said.

“Joe did a wonderful job as Florida State Chair of my 2016 Campaign- he is a MAGA Champion,” Trump said.

Gruters’ website lists his priorities as banning sanctuary cities, no drivers licenses for illegal immigrants, protecting water quality, keeping taxes low, protecting life, and staying business friendly.
