Trump issues endorsements of nearly entire Florida Republican congressional delegation

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Former President Donald Trump issued endorsements on social media for nearly the entire Florida Republican congressional delegation over the weekend.

Many of the lawmakers endorsed Trump early on in the presidential primary.

Matt Gaetz

“Matt Gaetz is a great representative for the amazing people of Florida’s 1st Congressional District!” Trump said.

“Matt is a Warrior for our MAGA Agenda, who tirelessly works to Drain the Swamp, Secure the Border, Support our Brave Veterans and Law Enforcement, Defend our always under siege Second Amendment, Stand Up to the Woke Mob, and Fight the Never-Ending Witch Hunts from the Radical Left that are destroying our Country!” he added.

Gaetz was an early supporter of Trump and has consistently stood by his side even during the former presidents legal troubles.

Trump has offered kind words to the representative surrounding the idea of him running for governor, although Gaetz has shut down speculation that he plans on entering the race.

“Well, he’s a great guy,” Trump said when asked about Gaetz being governor. “I mean, he’s great. He’s a wonderful person. He’s strong. He went through Hell for two years over something that I never believed for a second, and he held up very strong. He was very strong.”

Byron Donalds

“Congressman Byron Donalds is a tremendous champion for Florida’s 19th Congressional District!” Trump said.

“A true patriot, Byron is a fighter for the people of Florida and for all Americans,” he continued. “Byron works hard to protect our always under siege Second Amendment and to stop the rise of the woke culture in our schools.”

Like Gaetz, Donalds also endorsed the president early on in the election. He joined other Florida congressional members in attending Trump’s hush money trial in New York City.

“I’m in NY state court today to stand with @realDonaldTrump,” Donalds said on social media recently. “This case is a tragedy for the American justice system.”

“They still haven’t identified a crime and it’s been 4 weeks. This is ELECTION INTERFERENCE,” he said.

Anna Paulina Luna

Trump referred to Luna as an “incredible” congresswoman for her District 13 community.

“Anna works to Protect the Rights of All Americans, Drain the Swamp, Strengthen our Military and Veterans, Defeat the Woke Agenda, and Defend our always under siege 2nd Amendment,” he said.

Luna joined Gaetz in attending Trump’s hush money trial on May 16.

“We stand with President Trump!” Luna said on social media.

Cory Mills

“Congressman Cory Mills is a tremendous champion for Florida’s 7th Congressional District!” Trump exclaimed.

“He has served in many deployments including Iraq and Afghanistan. When everyone else is running away from the tough fights, Cory is willing to stay and fight,” he said.

“Cory loves our Country, Supports our Veterans, Strengthens our Military, and will NEVER let us down,” he added.

Mills, like the other Florida Republicans, was happy to join the former president at the trial.

“I’m honored to stand with the President, as America stands with him, and I view this victimless sham indictment as political theater and interference,” Mills said on social media.

“I look forward to sharing my thoughts throughout the day regarding today’s proceedings,” he said.

Greg Steube

Trump also complimented Steube as a “tremendous champion” for the work he does for his district.

“After the terrible 9/11 Attacks on our Country, Greg joined the U.S. Army JAG Corps to serve our country. He continues today to Drain the Swamp, Grow our Economy, Eliminate government Waste, and Lower our Taxes,” Trump said.

Maria Elvira Salazar

Trump commended Salazar’s work she has done for her South Florida district, highlighting her courage to speak up for her values and beliefs.

“Maria is not afraid to speak up for the people of Florida and all Americans. Maria is a True Patriot that fights against the corrupt policies of the Radical Left that put us all in harm’s way,” he said.

“She is working hard to Grow the Economy, Lower Inflation, Defend the Border, and Uphold the Rule of Law,” he added.

Salazar sparked attention from media and conservative figures for staunchly encouraging Hispanics to “wake up” and see the “Marxism” happening against people like Trump. She made the fiery statements during a press conference relating to Trump’s trial.

“That’s why I’m telling to you Hispanics, wake up! What is happening is Marxism and we came to this country to not have this,” she said.

Brian Mast

“Congressman Brian Mast is a tireless advocate for Florida’s 21st Congressional District,” Trump said.

“The Chair of my campaign’s Veterans for Trump Coalition, Brian is a true American Hero and Patriot. Brian works hard to stop the endless wars pushed by some in Washington and is making sure that we take care of Americans First,” he said.

“Brian has never been afraid to put himself in the line of fire,” he added.

Vern Buchanan

Trump complimented Buchanan for his conservative record and commitment to the people in his district.

“Vern is a self-made man, and he is working hard to Lower our Taxes, Grow our Economy, Support our Military and Vets, Protect our Seniors, and Defend our always under siege Second Amendment,” he said.

Mike Waltz

“Congressman Mike Waltz is an incredible representative for the people of Florida’s 6th Congressional District,” Trump said.
 
“A former U.S. Army Green Beret, Mike has been a longtime warrior for the people of Florida. Mike continues to Support our Veterans, Strengthen our Military, Defend our always under siege Second Amendment, and Drain the Swamp,” he said.

John Rutherford

The former president commended Rutherford for doing a “terrific job” at representing the people in his Duval and St. Johns County district.

“John works every day to Protect our Country, Grow our Economy, Support our Brave Police and First Responders, Defend our always under siege Second Amendment, and Uphold the Rule of Law,” he said.

“As a Sheriff, John spent many years safeguarding our great Communities, and he continues to do so in Congress,” he added.

Scott Franklin

Trump referred to Franklin is a “terrific representative” for the people of the 18th Congressional District.

“A retired Commander in the U.S. Navy, Scott fights hard to Strengthen our Military, Support our Veterans, Secure our Border, and Protect our always under siege Second Amendment,” he said.

Carlos Gimenez

“Congressman Carlos Gimenez is a tireless advocate for the people of Florida’s 28th Congressional District,” Trump said.

“As a career firefighter, Carlos has spent his life putting out the flames of dangerous fires and the flames of the dangerous Biden Administration,” he said.

“Carlos works to Secure our Border, Strengthen our Military, Support our Law Enforcement and First Responders, and Advance our America First Agenda,” he added.

Mario Diaz-Balart

“Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart is a tremendous champion for the people of Florida’s 26th Congressional District,” Trump said.

“Mario stands up against the wasteful spending in Washington and supports our Great Military and Veterans,” he continued. “Mario has worked hard to stop the democrats’ disastrous Socialist policies, and HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!”

Other endorsements

Although not mentioned in the latest slew of social media posts, Florida Republican Rep. Gus Bilirakis was also previously endorsed by Trump.

Additionally, Florida Republican Sen. Rick Scott is up for reelection, and has already been endorsed by Trump.
