WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Former President Donald Trump has now maintained a narrow national lead over President Joe Biden in the 2024 election for the third straight week, the RealClearPolitics polling average shows.

According to the aggregate, Trump retook a narrow lead around Sept. 12, a little more than three weeks ago.

Since then, his lead increased to hovering around 1% since late-September.

Trump also hit an all-time high of national support later in September, nearing 46%.

As it stands, though, both Trump and Biden have similar levels of electoral support: 45.5% and 44.4%, respectively.

That’s within the margin of error, but Trump’s national polling performance is leagues better than 2020, where he never led Biden, nor was even close to doing so.

Trump is the clear frontrunner in the 2024 Republican primary, leading nationally in the same aggregate by over 45%, his closest rival being Gov. Ron DeSantis hovering around 13% support nationally to Trump’s 58%.

The first states in the primary begin voting early next year, beginning with the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary.
