WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (FLV) – Former President Donald Trump announced his support of the Republican National Committee’s recent effort to push for early voting.

In a video, Trump endorsed the “Bank Your Voteinitiative announced by the RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel in June.

He said Democrats’ efforts to rely on early and mail-in voting “turned out to be not such a bad idea.”

The effort’s goal is to “beat Joe Biden and the Democrats in 2024” by ensuring “Republicans bank as many votes as possible before Election Day.”

“Grassroots Republicans like you should feel comfortable Banking Your Vote in 2024,” the RNC’s page states.

“Radical Democrats have abused and taken advantage of absentee and early voting laws to build a big lead over Republicans before election day,” Trump said in a video posted by the GOP. “While Republicans have worked to share our beautiful values with voters, Democrats and dangerous groups funded by the far left have simply focused on collecting ballots.”

“We may not like the current system, but we need to master the rules and beat the Democrats at their own game, and then we can make our own rules,” the former president continued.

“Republicans must get tougher and fight harder to cast our votes and get our ballots turned in earlier so Democrats can’t rig the polls against us on election day. We cannot let that happen. They rigged the election in 2020… we cannot let that happen in 2024.”

Republican Party of Florida Chairman Christian Ziegler celebrated the news of the former president’s backing of the initiative, saying it’s “stressing the importance of Vote-by-Mail & Early In-Person Voting!”

Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., and Sen. Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn., are leading the effort for their respective chambers’ Republican members.

“Beating Joe Biden & the Democrats is the only way to take back our country,” Donalds said in June. “I’m proud to co-chair this winning game plan to #BankYourVote & encourage voters to securely bank as many pre-Election Day votes as possible.”

The “Bank Your Vote” website states that ballot harvesting will be utilized “where permitted.”

Gov. Ron DeSantis has also recently promised to utilize early voting and ballot harvesting for the upcoming elections, depending on state laws.

Scott Presler, a conservative voter turnout and registration activist who toured Florida and other parts of the country in 2022, amped up the rhetoric after the party faced electoral blunders where they were not expected.

He announced the launch of a PAC to target early and mail-in voting in January called “Early Vote Action PAC.”

“This organization aims to build early/mail-in voting infrastructures in AZ, NC, NV, PA, & WI to win the White House in 2024,” Presler tweeted.

“If we win these swing states, Republicans will retake the Senate, strengthen our hold on the House, retake the North Carolina Governor’s Mansion, retake the Nevada Legislature, strengthen our holds on the other respective states’ legislatures, and see victories in down-ballot races at the county and local levels,” the website said.

The PAC plans to recruit and mobilize volunteers from all 50 states.

“Because if we retake these five key states, we can continue our movement’s march into every state across the country with powerful momentum, until every state on the map is ruby Republican red!”
