DES MOINES, Iowa (FLV) – Conservative talk show host Tucker Carlson will interview Gov. Ron DeSantis at the Family Leadership Summit 2023 in Des Moines, Iowa next month.

The event kicks off on July 14.

The summit’s website describes the event as “the Midwest’s largest gathering of Christians seeking cultural transformation in the family, church, government and more.”

Tickets to the event can be obtained here.

Carlson made national headlines after being terminated from Fox News, now running his own Twitter-based video commentary show with the first couple episodes already uploaded to the platform.

DeSantis’ visit to Iowa will be one of several since he announced his 2024 presidential campaign in late May.

Iowa is the first state in the country to hold a caucus.

Candidates typically visit the early primary states like Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina early on in campaign season because their performance in those states is a large contributor to perceived electoral momentum.

Fellow presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy will also be interviewed by Carlson at the summit.

Carlson spoke at the same summit last year.
