TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida Republican Senate leadership endorsed Sen. Jonathan Martin, R-Fort Myers, for reelection this week to Senate District 33.

The coalition includes Senate President Kathleen Passidomo, R-Naples, along with Senate President-Designate Ben Albritton, R-Bartow, and Sens. Jim Boyd, R-Bradenton, and Jay Trumbull R-Panama City.

“Southwest Florida has a long tradition of conservative warriors who aren’t afraid to take a stand for hard working families and businesses. With his tough on crime commitment to protecting our children and seeking the harshest punishments for monsters who harm them, Jonathan Martin is just getting started,” they said. “On behalf of parents everywhere, we fully endorse and look forward to welcoming Jonathan Martin back to the Florida Senate.”

The Senate’s confidence in Martin comes after he donated $25,000 to the Republican Party of Florida in April.

“Thank you [Sen. Jonathan Martin] for your $25,000 investment into the Republican Party of Florida to secure victories up and down the ballot and to ensure the Sunshine State remains the freest state in the nation,” the party said at the time.

Represented by Martin, House District 33 covers part of Lee County in southwestern Florida. He was first elected by the district in Nov. 2022.

“As a former member and executive board member of the RPOF, I had the privilege of working shoulder to shoulder with some of the smartest and hardest working conservatives in the country,” Martin said following his investment. “Let’s keep winning!”
