Anna Paulina Luna: FBI worried about safety of Biden whistleblower
WASHINGTON, D.C. (FLV) – U.S. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-FL, claimed Monday that the FBI is concerned the informant accusing President Joe Biden of involvement in a criminal bribery scheme with a foreign national during his vice presidency could face harm or assassination if their identity is revealed.
Luna, a member of the House Oversight Committee, called the revelations “alarming and scary” and tweeted following the meeting.
“Just left meeting for House Oversight. The @FBI is afraid their informant will be killed if unmasked, based on the info he has brought forward about the Biden family,” Luna said.
Last month, U.S. Rep. James Comer, R-KY, and Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-IA, were contacted by an informant who claimed that the FBI possessed a document known as an FD-1023 form, dated June 30, 2020.
The form reportedly contained explicit information provided by a confidential human source, alleging that while serving as vice president, Biden participated in a criminal bribery scheme with a foreign national worth $5 million. The alleged motive behind the scheme was to gain influence over policy decisions.
Last month, Comer issued a subpoena to obtain the FBI’s FD-1023 document. However, the FBI declined to comply, citing the need to safeguard sources and methods.
In response, Comer warned that he would consider holding FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt of Congress if the bureau failed to provide the physical document to the committee.
On Monday, after FBI officials once again refused to turn over the form, Comer announced his intention to initiate the proceedings for holding FBI director in contempt of Congress.
“At the briefing, the FBI again refused to hand over the unclassified record to the custody of the House Oversight Committee and we will now initiate contempt of Congress proceedings,” Comer said in a statement.
