Ernesto Sampera

Ernie was born in New York City and moved to Tampa when he was 5. His love of history began in elementary school where he started reading voraciously, specifically about American History and the Revolutionary War. This continued throughout high school and morphed into a keen interest in constitutional law and politics. Now a junior at Florida State University, with a major in Political Science and a minor in communications, Ernie began as an intern reporter for Florida’s Voice in the Spring of 2022. He is the Vice Chairman of the FSU College Republicans, has previously worked on campaigns of both state and national government candidates. Ernie has now joined Florida’s Voice as a reporter based in Tallahassee with the goal of conducting solely fact based journalism.
