WASHINGTON, D.C. – Florida Republican Rep. Byron Donalds, an ardent supporter of former President Donald Trump, mocked President Joe Biden’s recent gaffe where he seemingly read teleprompter instructions directing him to “pause.”

Instead of pausing, Biden read the word, “pause” to the D.C. crowd.

“Imagine what we can do next. Four more years, pause,” Biden said, as the crowd began chanting “four more years!”

Onlookers quickly referenced the 2004 movie “Anchorman,” where Will Ferrell starred as a satirical news figure.

“This is the same guy they keep trying to gaslight you into believing is ‘feisty’ and ‘vigorous,'” Donalds said.

On top of the D.C. incident, while in Tampa, Florida this week, Biden also seemed to have gaffed by saying his opponent, Trump, has proved “we” can’t be trusted.

“How many times does he have to prove we can’t be trusted?” Biden said earlier this week.

The national popular vote polls have the 2024 race at a statistical tie, according to RealClearPolling.

Trump, though, has seen continued strength in nearly every swing state. In the RealClearPolling aggregate, the only state he narrowly trails in is Pennsylvania by 0.4%.
