Davis to door-knock with Sen. Scott, Sheriff Waters ahead of mayor election

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (FLV) – Jacksonville Republican mayoral candidate Daniel Davis will go door-knocking on Sunday with Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., and Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters ahead of the May 16 election.

Davis is facing Democrat Donna Deegan on Tuesday.

Volunteers will meet at 9353 Staples Mill Drive at 2 p.m.

According to a press release from the Duval County GOP, Davis, Waters and Scott will be joined by other Republican officials and nominees.

“Senator Scott recognizes the importance of this race, especially in the closing days before the voters decide who will lead their city for the next four years,” it said. “This is an all-hands-on-deck mission to ensure victories up and down the ballot!”

For the election, early voting began on May 1 and will continue through Sunday, May 14, before election day on Tuesday.
